Korean born J-Pop singer mink is to have another of her songs heard by a worldwide audience, as it was announced that she will be performing the theme song, 'Together again', for the upcomming CG anime movie titled 'Vexille', which is to be released in over 53 countries.
This is the second time for mink, as back in January her single 'Innocent Blue ~Chi Hate Umi Tsukiru Made~' was used as the theme song for movie 'Aoki Ookami', whic was released in around 60 countries.
Born Mi Kyung Lee, the nickname mink stands for 'Made IN Korea', and she speaks Japanese, Korean and English. In April last year, a remix of her song 'Glory of Life' went to the top of the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart. Her first full album, 'Shalom', was released last February. The song being used for the new film, 'Together again' will be sung in both English and Japanese.
The CG anime is produced by Sori Fumihiko, who's directaral debut 'Ping Pong' went on to be nominated for eight Japanese Academy Awards. He was also the man behind the CG work for 'Titanic'.
'Vexille' will be released in Japanese cinemas sometime this August. |
