 It has been revealed that ex-Morning Musume member, Tsuji Nozomi is two months pregnant and set to marry in June.
She started dating actor Sugiura Taiyou last year, and were frequently seen together visiting each other's homes since. Sugiura is well known for playing the role of Ultraman and they met last spring when Sugiura's younger brother worked on a drama with fellow ex-musume Yaguchi Mari. Both of their agencies have confirmed the romance, and a press conference to announce it to the media is planned for this Thursday.
Tsuji debuted with Morning Musume in 2000 at the age of 12, and along with Kago Ai, they were the popular 'twins' of the group. Together they graduated from the group in 2004 and they formed W. After releasing a string of singles, they were put on hiatus after Kago Ai was found smoking, before she eventually fired.
Two weeks ago, it was announced that she would be the leader of a new group called Gyaruru, based on a ganguro and parapara style. However, with this recent announcement of her pregnancy, she has been forced to quit, and the group is now being reconsidered. Tsunku spoke about Tsuji's recent engagement, praising her singing career and wishing her a happy new life with her new found love.
Of the 25 members that have been in Morning Musume, Tsuji is the third to get married after Ishiguro Aya and Ichii Sayaka.
The happy couple are planned to get married on June 17th, Tsuji's 20th birthday. |
