The Brilliant Green returns after a 5 year hiatus |

 After 5 years of nothing from The Brilliant Green, they are set to release a brand new single.
Very few details have emerged so far, but the long standing question as to when The Brilliant Green will return, if they ever will, has finally been answered. The new single that has been announced is titled 'Stand by me' and will be used for the ending theme for the Japanese drama series 'Tentei Gakuen Q'. The single is also to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the band, when they released their first record back in September of 1997. They have also planned on releasing a Best of album later on in the year.
During the five year hiatus, which began after the release of their forth album, 'The Winter Album' back in late 2002, a few solo projects have appeared. Most notably would be the singer, Kawase Tomoko, who is now more often known as her hugely popular solo career personas of Tommy February6 and Tommy Heavenly6. The guitarist Matsui Ryo also released his own collaboration album under the title 'meister'.
The drama 'Tentei Gakuen Q', along with the new The Brilliant Green song, is planned to start airing on the 3rd of July.
