TOKIO to collaborate with Nakajima Miyuki once again PDF Print E-mail

Image It was announced that TOKIO's latest song has once again been written and composed by singer/songwriter Nakajima Miyuji. The single will be called 'Honjitsu Mijukumono' and will be released 15th of August.

This is the second time the boy band has collaborated with the accomplished musician, the first time being the smash hit 'Sorafune' last year, which went on to top the Oricon chart and became their third biggest hit for the band. This new song has an Enka inspired rock theme to it and will be used for the theme song of the upcoming NTV drama, 'Juken no Kamisama', which TOKIO member Yamaguchi Tatsuya is starring in.

"It'll be great if the song and the drama both are a hit. After listening to the song when we were done recording, I was amazed at how great this collaboration sounded" said Yamaguchi.

Nakajima Miyuki is one of the most well respected veteran singer/songwriters, garnering a ton of hit singles, albums and awards. One of her achievements include being the only solo artist to produce a number one hit in the Japanese singles chart in each decade for the past four decades. She has also gone to write over 90 songs for singers, many of them turning into number one hits themselves.

'Honjitsu Mijukumono' will be released on 15th of August and the drama 'Juken no Kamisama' will start airing on 14th July.
