Popular rapper SEAMO delighted fans by turning up at a special promotional screening for the latest 'Crayon Shin-Chan' movie. The hip-hop artist is the singer of the theme song for the 15th installment of the film, titled 'Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi o Yubu Utau Ketsu Dake Bakudan' (The Singing Bomb), and gave a special live performace along side Shin-chan onstage. He later declared war on rival anime 'Doraeman' and other popular hip-hop act, mihimaru GT.
He sang the theme song to the film 'Cry Baby', with Shin-chan beside him dancing to the music and sporting a 'SEAMO' look.
The popular manga and anime 'Crayon Shin-chan' is about a mischievous kindergarten student and has a total of 70 million 'Shin-chan' comic books and other manga-related publications sold throughout the world, with his television anime running for 16 years. Often hated by parents because of his constant need to pull down his pants and lust after older women, his anime was voted third two years ago in a national survey of the shows that parents don't want thier kids to watch.
The fifteenth movie to come from the popular series sees the whole world after Shin-Chan after he flees to protect his dog Shiro, who has a bomb that could destroy the world shoved up his ass. The previous forteen films have raked in an impressive 19.1 billion yen.
SEAMO, who himself got banned from radio in his early days, said he didn't want to be overshadowed by mihimaru GT, who sings the theme song for 'Doraemon', vowing to defeat the both of them by forming a comdey duo with 'Shin-chan'.
AKB48 are also attached to the movie, with five of their members forming a special unit called 'Crayon Friends from AKB48', and voiced a group of beautiful women terrorists in the film.
'Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi o Yubu Utau Ketsu Dake Bakudan' is released on April 21st in theatres around Japan. |
