Gyaruru finds a new replacement PDF Print E-mail

Image The recently announced Hello! Project group 'Gyaruru' has found a replacement for pregnant Tsuji Nozomi. It has been announced that sister of ex-Morning Musume member Abe Natsumi, Abe Asami will take Tsuji's place.

The ganguro/parapara themed group was announced only a month ago, with the original line up as Tsuji Nozomi, Gyaru Sone and Tokito Ami. However, within a few weeks later Tsuji Nozomi had to drop out because she was pregnant and engaged. Since then, there had been no announcement on the future of the group, until today.

Stepping in Tsuji's 'Gyaru' styled shoes will be Abe Asami, who herself has had reasonable success, releasing a couple of albums and a handful of singles. She is also the sister to Abe Natsumi, who was once known as the 'face' of Morning Musume. This announcement comes as a bit of a shock as not only has she not released a recording in two and half years, but she wasn't originally a member of the Hello! Project group.

She is used to the 'gyaru' fashion, as she was originally first scouted sporting the look back when she was a high school student. Like with the other members, who are nicknamed 'Sonene' and 'Amimi', she will now have the nickname 'Abebe'.

The group's debut single 'Boom Boom Meccha Macho' is to be re-recorded so that it will still make its scheduled release date of June 20th.
