I was reading the paper today and found out there is a Utada Concert in Seattle this week. But because it is a small venue it is sold out. Here's a list of other concert dates. I bet it's just the new CD stuff.

They must have released some tickets on ticketmaster cause now I'm there!
The honolulu concert indicated she sang a mix of english and japanese. The honolulu set: Opening (from Exodus) On & On Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence - FYI Poppin' This One (Crying Like A Child) Passion --> Sanctuary Sakura Drops (keyboard) Stay Gold (keyboard) Devil Inside Kremlin Dusk You Make Me Want To Be A Man The Bitter End - Placebo cover Apple & Cinnamon Boku Wa Kuma (out of audience request) Come Back To Me First Love (her eyes became all watery... she was crying) Can You Keep A Secret? Automatic Dirty Desire

A very nice concert in a small venue. I went early to get up close but ended up standing from 4:30 to 11:00. It's a SRO club with very few seats at the risers near the bar. I was only 20 feet away from Hikaru so seeing here expressions with the songs were good. She is an accomplished entertainer and a real pro. She sang a mix of the new english songs and many of the favorite japanese songs. Automatic was a real crowd pleaser as was many of her ballads both old and new. The new stuff really rocks live. All in all it was the best concert because it was so intimate, like having a conversation with her and her music. If you can make to one of the shows you will not be dissapointed.

This is why I love smaller venues, you really feel a part of it all. Large venues just make things distant and out of reach. I'm jealous. You had such a good time, clearly. I'm going to be keeping a close eye on the London info incase they release more tickets or announce another night. I have hope, if nothing else I have hope.

We have craigslist to look for tickets here and there were plenty of scalpers out buying and selling tickets in the line at the show. I was just lucky to keep checking with ticketmaster and they released some at regular price. I'm hoping they will make a DVD of the last two shows in NYC and London. Everyone is walking away happy to have experienced a hikaru live.
