I have owned two. My first one was a 1990 Gen. 2 Integra that was later converted into a 100% track car and just recently was my beloved 2005 Subaru WRX STI that was sadly sold off this past Saturday because I could no longer justify the car payments nor the insanely high insurance.

As for owning cars here in Japan... I've had 3... Nothing special... I just remember when I first started driving out here, I'd always go to the wrong side of the car.

Hehe
My short list;
1991 Acura Integra GS 2005 Subaru WRX STI
and if we are counting bikes(well kind of a half bike for me) 1973 Honda CL350 Scrambler.
I fondly remember the "glory' days of the Japanese car culture from just a few short years ago but it seems to be dying out.
The automotive landscape is truly changing and not just because of the economy. I have read several articles of the sharp decline in car ownership by Japanese youth. Cost of ownership has probably much to do with this but maybe it just does not attract the same demographics anymore. Youth has always driven car culture to a certain extent and with that gone I see a bleak and boring future.
The era of the affordable sports cars seems to be just a memory from the past. Less cars sold mean less parts sold which leads to a sharp decrease in tuning companies and well, you get the idea.
So I ask you, where is the future of the Japanese car culture headed?
Sorry to hijack your thread but i have been away for a loooooooooooong time. :-)

Lexus r i p ...
My car was in a accident and gave it's life saving my wife, son, and sister. Minor injuries to the family but the car was a total loss. It t-boned a car running a stop sign and the punks got out and ran away. I may just need to get another J-car of the lexus brand.

Add another rice car to my list as I bought a lease return 2006 lexus gs300 awd. It was just in time to get some relief from the record breaking 103 degree weather with a little AC. Now I can sell the truck.
